Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!
As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey over the past five months as your Chair. It has been a thrilling and transformative experience, filled with growth and collaboration. ACEC/MW is truly blessed with a diverse group of thought leaders, and I am deeply grateful for our remarkable leaders, members, clients, and communities who continuously elevate the voice of engineering in the Metropolitan Washington area and beyond.

During this special time of year, it's important to recognize and appreciate the collective achievements we've made in educating, engaging, and advocating for our profession. Our focused efforts on workforce development and the fruitful collaboration between clients, contractors, and the engineering community have significantly raised our profile.
Personally, this period has been marked by change and support for me and our leaders —from transitioning jobs to experiencing personal losses. Your prayers, encouragement, and networks have been a source of comfort and strength, reminding me of the importance of community and the diversity of thought that keeps us at the forefront of industry challenges.
As we celebrate this season, let's take a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for and cherish the time spent with family, friends, and loved ones. Stay engaged with ACEC/MW for exciting updates, including the Engineering Excellence Award Gala on December 17th to celebrate your accomplishments. The Emerging Leaders program has kicked off, and we have a group of leaders who have raised the bar and I am excited to see their contributions to ACEC/MW and the industry. We will be wrapping up our survey next year to make sure we listen to you and move from a good to great organization. During our retreat, our leaders were amped up and are working hard to host some great events. To stay plugged in, visit our ACEC/MW website for more information and lookout for our weekly updates. Also, check out my past LinkedIn posts to see all the exciting events hosted by our leaders, which I have been fortunate to support or participate in, including:
